Normally it should got the name TUI Explorer 2 or Marella Explorer 2 in the summer of 2019 and replaced by the sixth new building at TUI Cruises.
The originally planned new building Mein Schiff 8 should take the name Mein Schiff 2.
In 2018 it was decided to keep the Mein Schiff 2 in the fleet until 2023
