August 1984 near the island Texel she collided with a wreck from World War II, she was salvaged and sold. Bankruptcy of the new owner prevent her conversion to a yacht
1994 Arnold Hylkema and Henk Stallinga purchased the hull and started her conversion to a traditionally rigged sailing ship, repair of the hull at the shipyard Welgelegen, Lauwershoek, NL. Further work at V.D. Werf & Visser, rigged as a barkentine with 14 sails. The fore mast was rigged with square sails and the main and mizzen mast with top and gaff sails, renamed "Thalassa".
