The ship was destroyed by a fire in 1990 while being refit and completely rebuilt and re-delivered in 1992, Although declared a total constructive loss, the lower hull was used to create a new ship still named Sally Albatross. in 1994, she grounded whilst on a cruise , suffering major damage due to partially sinking.
Although the 1980 ship and the 1992 ship are completely unalike both externally and internally, they she the same IMO number and are therefore technically the same ship.
