Above the Hansa Stockholm seen moments after the last container was loaded on her deck. She had a nice list to port side, but the reefer was trimmed out before casting off her mooring lines.

Trimmed out and underway from berth 403 to the lock.

Today I took this picture of the 20 years old UK flagged dredger Britannia Beaver. She was arriving at the lock in the late evening with just enough light to make a nice picture. Her destination was Bruges. As far as I remember the first time she is to be seen here.

A spectacular moment again today as the ZPMC owned heavy load carrier arrived at Zeebrugge (BE) with the first 4 new container cranes for Zeebrugge International Port terminal. The off-loading of the 4 cranes will begin on Sunday or Monday. In total, 11 cranes are planned for the new terminal. This is the seventh ship of the ZPMC fleet we can place in the gallery, together with the Zhen Hua 22 that was to be seen on the Ghent-Terneuzen canal a few weeks ago.

Today saw the arrival of Prinsendam in Flushing Outer Harbour. This is the first arrival of a passenger ship in about half a century!

She was built in 1988 as Royal Viking Sun, but after a year she was given the name San Francisco. After several other operators (e.g. Cunard-White Star), she was aquired by HAL and renamed Prinsendam.

She arrived in Flushing about one hour earlier than scheduled. She will depart about 23:00 this evening.

In 2005 a Dutch contractor named Johan Huibers started to build a replica of Noah's Ark. The Ark was finished two years later, in 2007 and she was opened to the public in 2007.

Noah's Ark is supposed to be a replica, built to resemble the public's image of what the Ark looked like.

I never knew a steel pushbarge was available to Noah at the time... ;-)))
