Capsized in stormy weather by preparations to assistance the ferry Stena Brittanica at the New Waterway, Hoek van Holland (NL) on 11/11/2010. 3 crewmen were saved, 2 were missed. The dead body of the Polish machinist was found at the beach of 's Gravenzande after midnight. The Belgian captain was missing for several day, his body was found on the shore at Noorderhoofd in Hoek van Holland on 26/11/2010.

Smit Salvage have lifted the tug with the Taklift 7 on 13/11/2010. Fairplay Towage, the owner of the tug, said the tug will be repaired and sold. The name Fairplay 22 will never be used again.
