On 07/05/2017, she was abandoned in the South Atlantic after uncontrolled water ingress due to a collision with floating ice.
Because of underwater breaches, bad weather and heavy seas, the captain send message to abandon the vessel.
All of the 42 crew were saved by other vessels responding to the distress call

She was eventually towed, but sank 400nm NE of the Falkland Islands on 16/05/2017
